Adding Topic or name to new meeting IDs

By "desktop site", do you mean the Zoom Web Portal at https://zoom.us/meeting#/upcoming?

I tried all sorts of variations on ways to set it up to see if I could not edit the meeting title, but in all cases, it was editable.  As an example:

You should even be able to go back in with the Edit button for a meeting, and change after the fact.

If there's some other place you're trying to do this, let me know.  If this is the place but you're still having trouble, provide more info, like what browser, what device/operating system, etc., or maybe provide a screen shot.  I'll see what I can do if I can get more info.

thanks Ray for your help.. Yes, I am using the Zoom Web Portal, on Firefox (up to date version 147.0.20). I use a MacBook Pro, with OS Tahoe 26.2

I have previously been able to edit as you describe. Now, if I go back to edit a meeting that is called “Zoom Meeting,” I can enter a new name, and it appears to take but then does not save when I use the “SAVE” button at the bottom of the record.

When I use the Zoom Workplace app, the “Zoom Meeting” name is grayed out, and cannot be edited.

When I use the Zoom Web Portal to set up a new recurring meeting with no fixed time, the topic is set as “Zoom Meeting” and cannot be changed. After the meeting is set up, and I use the edit button, the same thing happens: I can enter a new name, but it goes back to Zoom Meeting after I save the entry.
