Invite Chinese speaker to webinar

Hi, I ( from Taiwan) set up an online congress and invite a Chinese speaker ( from China) to log into the Zoom. But when he log in, his Zoom shown: your country/area cannot subscribe to the Zoom. Is anyone face this problem? I am wondering is this because the political issue?

Did you restrict countries (geo-blocking) in the event? Is it a paid event? Is it a regular webinar or webinars plus/zoom events?

This is a free webinar for all members who registered first; they will then receive a link to log in. My account (host) is paid. This is not a regular webinar.

I didn’t restrict any countries from joining our webinar. What should I do next?

Yes there are political issues in China.
As I currently understand, China expects paid versions.

I am sure a VPN would help move their connection out of China.
