Sure, I know that I can select the frame tool in Whiteboard's tool list and click and drag to create a frame - but then what?? I don't see how I can add anything to these frames so what is the purpose? I must be missing something super obvious. Can someone please help me with this?

Great question! i am also looking for guidance in how to make my notes in whiteboard usable. Not easy to find, evidently.

I was just playing around with frames but I am puzzled, too. But what I have figured out is, that you can sort a whiteboard presentation with that and can even hold a presentation as such.
But what I miss is, that I can export the frames to create a flipchart protocol from it.
So, apart from creating a presentation I could not figure out anything else to use frames for.
