My Zoom Team Chat has never shown sent, delivered, or read indicators. I use a Basic account and do not belong to any organization. Please reset the backend Team Chat message-status policy on my account.

Hello @Eva_6728

Welcome to the Zoom Community! We're glad to have you here!

Zoom Team Chat does not show "Sent" or "Delivered" indicators for messages. This is normal behavior and applies to all users, regardless of account type, organization, or plan (including the Basic plan). Because this feature does not exist, there is no setting or backend policy that can be reset to enable it.

Instead, Zoom Team Chat offers Read Receipts.

How Read Receipts Work

  • Read receipts show when a message has been seen.

  • They are available in direct chats or channels with up to 20 members.

  • Only the most recent message can display read receipts.

  • Both the sender and the recipient must have read receipts turned on for the information to appear.

  • Read receipts can be enabled or disabled in Team Chat settings.

How to Check Read Receipts

On Windows, macOS, or Linux:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop app.

  2. Click the Team Chat tab.

  3. Open the chat or channel.

  4. Send a message.

  5. Hover over the message to see who has read it.

On Android or iOS:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom mobile app.

  2. Tap the Team Chat tab.

  3. Open the chat or channel.

  4. Send a message.

  5. Tap the message to see who has read it.

A list of recipients who have read the message will appear if read receipts are enabled.
