Not sure what changed, I think it was a recent update, but anyway, we used to be able to click PDF files in chat and they would just open up.
Now a window pops up and says that Zoom can't preview a PDF file. Is there a way to get the old behavior back?

Did this happen after the update? I've had the same issue with PDF previews on MacOS. One thing that helped me was using a third-party tool instead of relying solely on the built-in preview features. I came across this website called PDFGuru http://pdfguru.com/ which provides an easy-to-use platform for previewing and editing PDFs. It’s been pretty smooth with no compatibility issues on MacOS so far. It might be worth trying if you're still facing problems with the native app.

I'm having the same issue and it was before the latest update to 6.1.11

Yes this. Users started reporting it between v5.7 & v6. Not sure exactly which update, sorry.
