Zoom Phone - Contact Lookup on VVX 450

Is it possible to perform a directory lookup when dialing an extension on a VVX 450?  This would be similar to when you enter an extension and a lookup is done in call history, but obviously the person has to be in the call history.  It does not search users or directories.

Encoding screen defaults to Abc.  Enter the letters you want to search on using deskphone dial pad.  Press the 2 ABC once for A, Press the 3 DEF once D, Press the 6 MNO twice for N since it the second letter on the 6 MNO button.  If you want to search by a extension number, switch the encoding to 123.  if you wanted to search for extension, enter 123.

Works for:
poly vvx, poly edge e series
poly edge b series – press home button twice, select directories, ldap search, enter at least one letter to search for.
cisco cp-8841 press the Directories key next to dial pad, select all directories
yealink sip-t54w press Directory, select ldap, enter

note: you can search for as little as one letter or two numbers. You may get more than 1 hit, but all meeting your criteria will be displayed.

thanks,  eliot
