I just noticed that I am experiencing the same issue. I keep my phone on silent and keep the volume low when I do listen to something. Having the voicemail start basically yelling at me with no way to turn it down. It was quite upsetting to discover.

Hello @Amiau and @CDRG,
Welcome to the Zoom Community! We're glad to have you here.
I'm sorry for the late response. If you're using iOS, kindly make sure that the Sounds & Haptics setting ‘change with buttons’ is enabled.
iPhones typically have a proximity sensor that detects the position of the device relative to your face during a call. This sensor turns off the display and deactivates the touch screen to prevent accidental inputs. If there is a problem with the proximity sensor, it may mistakenly detect that the phone is close to your face, even when in speaker mode.
For example, if you are listening to a VM in ZP on your iOS, speaker is the option enabled, but if you move it to your ear, it automatically switches to the iOS native speaker for calls, and if you move it away from your ear, it automatically switches to speaker again.
Please let us know if you need further assistance.

I just tried this and it did not fix the issue.
For clarification. The voicemails played through the Zoom IOS app will play at full volume through the speaker. there is no way to adjust the volume and switching it from speaker to ear does nothing, it still plays full volume through the speaker. Making the change to sounds and haptics does not fix this. I tested the proximity sensor and it is working correctly.
