All,
I'm looking to set the same time zone on all of our physical phones in our organization. All of the phones are located in the same time zone.
How do I go about setting the time zone for all of the current (and future) phones so they default to the time zone we're in? I've been able to change them one at a time, however, I have too many phones to do this individually.
Thanks!

hi new2zoomphones,
i think you should update the time zones for users that are incorrect. i believe that this is the best fix.
that said, here is information on using desk phone template to set time zone for poly desk phones.
Change gmtOffset on a poly phone. (Note that different desk phone manufacturers have different wording.)
gmtOffsetgmtOffset,Rename
set gmtOffset to U.S. Eastern GMT - 5 (3600 seconds * -5)
Template
Visit Support Documentopens in new tab for more guidance
1
tcpIpApp.sntp.gmtOffset="-18000"
2. Apply the template to one or more poly desk phones. Suggest that you try the template on one phone first.
Goto admin->phone system management->phones & devices-> select the desk phone(s) and bind whatever template you want to use.
After binding the template to the phone(s), the poly phone(s) will reboot and the time will be gmt -5 hours.

hi new2zoomphones,
time zoom is normally set at the user profile level or common area profile.
on the desk phones that have the wrong time zone, check the associated user profile time zone.
if there are many users with wrong time zone, you may want to open a support ticket.

We have a lot of phones that have the wrong time zone. I am hopeful that there is a zoom setting that affects ALL of our zoom phones (current and future) to assign the same time zone. I do not want to touch/modify each phone individually.

Hi,
Here are the steps to set the time zone and configure the time format and NTP servers for all your physical phones in Zoom:
1- Sign in to the Zoom Web Portal: Go to Zoom's web portal and log in with your admin credentials.
2- Navigate to Phone System Management: Click on "Phone System Management" from the left-hand sidebar.
3- Select "Company Info": Click on "Company Info" under the Phone System Management section.
4- Select "Desk Phone": In the Company Info section, locate and select "Desk Phone."
5- Configure Time Format and Set NTP Servers: In the Desk Phone settings, configure the time format as needed.
Set the NTP (Network Time Protocol) servers to ensure all phones sync the correct time automatically.
Also, you may configure a Provisioning Template: To apply these settings to both current and future phones automatically, consider configuring a provisioning template. visit this page: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0062241

Thanks for the info - I do not see "Desk Phone" in the settings. Are you saying to select the specific phone?
If so, this is not what I want to do; I want to set the time zone for all of the phones in my zoom account (current and future) to the same time zone regardless of what they're currently set to.
I guess I need to look at the Provisioning templates; would those work once the phone is already deployed?

I’m not sure why the 'Desk Phone' option isn’t appearing on your end, as I did see it in my portal.
However, I agree that provisioning templates are likely the best solution for your needs. Not only can you use them to set the time zone, but you can also configure other aspects of the phone settings.
Poly and Yealink provide excellent documentation on setting up these templates, which should apply to phones even after they’re deployed. This way, you can ensure consistency across all devices, current and future.

hi new2zoomphones,
what time zones do your account owner and admin profiles have?
what time zoom should all the phones have?
what make(s) and model(s) desk phones do you have, i.e. poly vvx 250 and 450?
thanks, eliot
