2 extensions for one user

Hey,

I work for a school district and we have just recently switch to zoom phone system. I have researched that a single user cannot have multiple extensions. I am looking for a work around if possible. Some of the staff have multiple offices in different schools. I am wondering if there is a way to have the one user call from the different phone with the different extension? This is for example, dealing with an emergency call to 911 that they would be able to see the different extension and know exactly with building it is being called from, instead of whichever one has been chosen as their default.

Hopefully that makes sense?

Thank you all for any advice!

hi @APfeifer,

you may want to consider using zoom phone emergency locations.  please discuss with your admin and or zoom account team to see if this approach may be appropriate.  the zoom phone emergency locations can be very specific such as a building, floor, and room.  it is usually based on the location where the emergency call (in usa 911) is made.

Zoom Profesional Services assisted one of my clients to set up zoom phone emergency locations.  this client has a number of people that work from different business locations that uses zoom phone emergency locations and nomadic emergency services.  some of the locations use Network switch MAC address & port data or wifi access point BSSID (MAC address of the access point).  911 calls notify both the PSAP (911 dispatcher) and the internal safety team.

@APfeifer - You can set up a Shared Line Group  for these individuals with only 1 user in the group.
