i want to use the camera of my ipad and not the one of my laptop using the ipad as an extended scree

do you have an idea how i can switch the camera? the camera from my macbook pro is not as good as the one from my iPad. As I often want to share content from my macbook pro I thought I could use the iPad as extended screen but I noticed that I cannot use the camera of the iPad... I only have the option to use the camera of my laptop... thanks for any tips!
