Let's start by uninstalling the zoom desktop application. Please follow the steps outlined here: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362983-How-to-uninstall-Zoom-on-a-Mac-
After doing so we will need to reboot the device and then re-install the zoom application.
1. Navigate to Zoom’s Download Center and select Download Zoom Desktop Client.
2 .Run the downloaded installer file and follow the instructions to install.

I have uninstalled, re-installed before. However, afterwards, when an update is released, I still cannot update from within Zoom... The only way is if I manually update each time an update is released...
