Zoom no longer recognizes mic! (headset + laptop)

SOLVED! Related to the Error 10008 message, so un- and re-installed Zoom app. Audio now works.

Recently stopped working. Output works still works loud & clear, but now Zoom doesn't pick up audio from either my headset (MCPOW HC6 wired USB) or my Macbook Pro's internal mic.

Tried troubleshooting tips (completely plugged in, selected the correct mic, checked device settings) but speaking into the mic shows no bars showing during the audio test (and no one could hear me talk). Also separately checked my headset and laptop, and the mic on both work fine—just not on Zoom anymore. This is all on mac OS Big Sur 11.7.1. Any suggestions?

If Zoom fails to detect your microphone, unplug the device and plug it back in. If it's a bluetooth device, ensure that it is turned on and connected properly. Make sure that you are using a supported USB device for Zoom
