Hi everyone,
I'm looking for help understanding an issue I experienced during a Zoom meeting yesterday.
I was the host and had cloud recording enabled. However, during the meeting, the recording stopped on its own and restarted about a second later. This happened twice. As a result, the final recording is split into three separate files of different lengths.
I'm absolutely certain I didn’t manually stop or pause the recording, and I didn’t change any settings during the session. Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be related to internet connectivity, system performance, or something on Zoom’s side?
Any insight into what might have caused this or how to prevent it in the future would be greatly appreciated.
Zoom Version: 6.4.7 (64367)
Device: Windows laptop
Thanks in advance!

same issue - shared screen stopped the recording to cloud. I am a teacher I have to share screen to see the student work. Every time I do this the recording stops - AND it doesn't tell me the recording has stopped either!

Hello there,
When a Zoom cloud recording stops and restarts during a meeting, resulting in multiple separate files, it’s usually due to one of the following reasons:
Each time the recording is stopped and restarted, Zoom creates a new recording file. This is expected behavior to ensure no data is lost during interruptions.
If you want to merge the recordings, you’ll need to download each file and use a video editing tool to combine them, as Zoom does not automatically merge separate recording files.
