Any ideas?
just attending a zoom meeting, while also having a Remote Desktop window open (large screen) and attempting to work in the rdp window causes the GPU and CPU to go extremely high and the zoom meeting to lag.

I’ll add that this is windows 10, fully updated zoom, and the lag occurs just attending a meeting, this isn’t only while presenting.
The amount of GPU used is to a degree commensurate with the Remote Desktop resolution. It’s a 4K monitor but if I establish the session at lower resolutions the GPU and CPU usage is proportionately lower. I’ve tried just about all the common pieces of advice.

I’ll also add that something changed dramatically one day last fall sometime, and that was when this problem got far worse. I run zoom on the laptop, using the laptop mic and sometimes camera, but it’s moving windows within the rdp session and scrolling, that really makes the gpu and gpu go crazy.
I have the same laptop at home and the same desktop at the office as before. Whether it was a windows update to the applicable graphic codecs rdp uses, a patch to zoom (work computer so monthly updates will be windows/ms office/zoom/whatever at one time) or what, things definitely got worse in approximately October of 2023. When I read these forums, to me I see lots of fall 2023 new problems, but perhaps I’m just sensitive to those.
but. Something isn’t right and something changed last fall, approx October 2023. That I can say for sure.
