Can you only stream spotify whilst in zoom using a desktop laptop/computer? I have a chromebook laptop, and I can't seem to figure out how to play music, so wondering if its because it's not a desktop. I can't find any info about this anywhere.

Hello @FoxyValsler,
Welcome to the Zoom Community! We're glad to have you here.
I'm sorry for the late response. If this has not been solved yet, you would need:
Zoom desktop client for Windows, macOS, or Linux: Global minimum version or higher
Zoom Web App in the Chrome web browser to share your music.
You can read more about sharing background music or computer audio on Zoom in this article.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Is it possible to stream music from Spotify while on a video call using Zoom on mobile devices? I’ve tried playing music during calls on my Android phone but haven't been able to get it to work. Do I need to change any settings in Zoom or Spotify to allow audio playback? Or is this feature only available on desktop or laptop computers? I also wonder if using the Spotify Lite affects this functionality. Any advice or tips would be super helpful!

You can stream Spotify on a Chromebook, but to unlock all features, including uninterrupted streaming during Zoom, you might need Spotify Premium gratis through a trial. Make sure the Spotify app is installed from the Play Store, and try sharing audio through Zoom's advanced settings for better results.

I totally get your frustration! It can be tricky since Chromebooks work a bit differently with apps like Spotify and Zoom. You should still be able to play Spotify while in a Zoom call, but the setup might be different from a standard desktop. Try using the web version of Spotify (open.spotify.com) on Chrome instead of the app, and check your audio settings in Zoom to make sure the computer audio is shared. Hope this helps a bit!
