If you're having trouble installing the Zoom app on your MacBook Air with an M2 chip, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Check System Requirements:

    • Ensure that your MacBook Air with the M2 chip meets the system requirements for the Zoom app. Typically, Zoom requires macOS 10.9 or later. However, with new hardware like the M2 chip, there might be specific requirements or compatibility considerations.
  2. Download from Official Source:

    • Make sure you are downloading the Zoom app from the official Zoom website or the Mac App Store. Avoid downloading from third-party sources to reduce the risk of getting an incomplete or compromised installer.
  3. Check for Updates:

    • If you previously attempted to install Zoom, ensure you've removed any partially installed versions. Then, check for any macOS updates and Zoom app updates. Keeping your system and apps up to date can help ensure compatibility.
  4. Install from the App Store:

    • If available, try installing Zoom from the Mac App Store. The App Store version often comes with better compatibility and is more streamlined for the macOS environment.
