Stop mini meeting window appearing when switching to another virtual deskop

In a recent update to the Linux client whenever I'm in a Zoom meeting and the meeting window is in focus and I switch to another virtual desktop the meeting window is minimized to a small window in the upper right and follows me to the new virtual desktop. How can I stop this?

A bit of a pain in the "rear end" (I guess the A word is now taboo) and still happening. Any settings one might have to turn off for this to stop happening? I would expect zoom to behave like all other software: stay in place and do nothing when I switch desktops.

Same here, working from a laptop with virtual desktop, and this auto-minimize is a huge PITA.  Why not just leave it alone?  Why default to mucking with it when I didn't ask to have it mucked with?

I came here looking for a solution for this too.  I'd like to see an option to turn this behaviour off so I can leave the window on another desktop unchanged.

There is a setting to turn this off, but as far as I know there is no way to change it in the GUI. To turn off the mini window on Linux open ~/.config/zoomus.conf in a text editor, find the enableMiniWindow setting and change it to false. Restart Zoom and it should be gone.

Literally just created my profile to thank you.

Thank you! 🙏

Thanks David, this worked for me.  What a wonderful improvement.  I wish I had thought of looking at the config file.

This also solved another issue where remote control would cease working if you panned to another desktop and came back.
