Record to computer option unavailable

I have setup record to local, but the option is not available.

How do I trouble shoot?

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @edwinting.

 

When taking this screen shot of your record button, are you in a meeting you own, or a meeting owned by someone else?  If it’s not your meeting, the owner might have set it to not permit local recording. Your settings will not override a meeting owner’s disabling of local recording.

If the "Record to computer" option is unavailable, it may be due to the following reasons:

  1. Software/Device Settings: Check if your recording software or device settings have disabled this option or need to be configured.
  2. Driver Issues: Ensure your audio or recording drivers are up to date.
  3. Permissions: Verify that the application has the necessary permissions to access your computer's recording features.
  4. Compatibility: Make sure that your recording software is compatible with your operating system.

I always was able to record to the computer.  Due to my work we are not allowed to record to the cloud but now I cannot turn that off.  How do I turn off cloud recording and return to computer recording.
