Previously no passcode - no waiting room -- WHAT happened?

I know there are posts about Zoom previously requiring either a passcode or a waiting room, but I have been using my account and another church one for two years without having to have either. Is there a workaround? It's disruptive to the events.

You could try using join before host. However, the requirement for a passcode or waiting room is to provide additional protection and privacy for your meetings and help prevent uninvited guests from joining. If no security option is enabled, Zoom will automatically secure all meetings with a Waiting Room.
