New Updated Layout

Hi all,

With the latest update to the Zoom app on my Mac, the layout has changed again- where I used to be able to open the app to a page that very easily let me click "start" for a new (unscheduled) meeting with my PMI, now none of the options are as easily accessible. Is there any way to revert back to the old interface or find the page I'm looking for?

This sounds stupid, but as a therapist with many sessions a day, I really just want to be able to open the app and easily click start. Thanks for any advice!

@rachelsimon - I still see that when I click on my home tab, what are you seeing now?

I used to have a blue "Start Meeting" option under my PMI in the old layout. I can now start meetings under the home tab, with an orange button that doesn't always start my meeting with my PMI, leaving me unsure whether my clients will be joining the right meeting with their usual link. I can't seem to find what tab would get me to the old layout, if it exists anymore.

@rachelsimon - When you go into your personal settings, under Meeting -> Schedule Meeting, have you set it to use your PMI for instant meetings?

Yes! Although, in a former update, a zoom support person had told me to turn that off to get the old layout back, and it worked for a while. So it's been set back to set PMI for instant meetings since this most recent update. Still can't find the previous layout or tab option. Wish I had a screenshot of what it looked like...it was like an oblong blue button that said "start meeting."

@rachelsimon - I am not sure what view that was in since I don't think I have ever seen the Start PMI as a Blue button, but on the current format, if you have 'Use PMI for Instant Meetings', it should be the same result now by just clicking the orange 'New Meeting' button on the home screen.

I'm totally with you there. I would like this too. As a tutor, each student has their own meeting and they used to be listed on the left hand side under my personal meeting which I use for group lessons. I was 10 minutes late last night for a group lesson as I couldn't find how to start my personal link! I am looking at alternatives to Zoom if I can't get this back to showing my links easily on the left. Now I have tiny link under the date on the right and have to scroll through lots to find what I want and there is no start button either.

@andagility - When you say each student has their own meeting, do they have their own recurring meetings, their own links to your meetings, or their own PMIs that you are connecting to?  This sounds a little be different, more like you need to be able to see your upcoming meetings better vs. starting your PMI with a 1-click start button.

Similar problem:  As of a few days ago, the view has changed when I click on the Zoom icon in the dock (to click on Zoom from my desktop view).  The view no longer shows the names of my weekly meetings that I host.  The view now has on the left a small orange square and three small blue squares, and on the right some date / umbrella / calendar image. The small orange square says new meeting.

My former view gave the different names of my weekly meetings that I created and host.  I cannot find those meetings even in the meetings tab now.  I have to sign into my zoom account online and then go to Meetings online to see these Recurring meetings.

I have a vision impairment.  And now it is more time consuming to start my meetings that I host.

How can I set the zoom icon (in my dock) so that the view returns to the former view or how can I set it so that I see the meetings from the zoom icon (once clicked on from my dock)?  I do not see any way to view my recurring meetings via the easier and quicker and more accessible zoom icon's current view once I click it on.

I do not want to give Zoom access to my Calendar, Contacts, etc. to be able to see the view that I saw before.

I am considering returning to Skype given this change in the zoom view.

Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.
