Is it possible to phone into a Zoom meeting and have it show my display name in the gallery instead of my phone number?

Hi @wildhog, welcome to the Zoom Community!

You can display your name by adding your phone number to your Zoom account.

Here's how you can do it:

  1. Go to the Zoom website and sign in to your account.
  2. Look for the "Profile" section.
  3. In the "Profile" section, find the "Personal" tab.
  4. Next to Phone, select Add Phone Number
  5. Simply add your phone number there (mobile)

That's it! Now you're all set to have your name displayed during meetings when you join using your phone.

I added my phone number and dialed into a meeting from the number I added. Meeting host still said they only saw my phone number and not my name or photo. Y is that?

I found the same thing.  I added my number to my profile, created a meeting, and dialed in but I still just saw my phone number.

Hello @jbaranski

When you dial in you must use your participant ID # to connect your phone number to your Zoom profile.

Please see this support article.
