Creating virtual backgrounds while NOT on a Zoom call

How can I create a Virtual Background (using my own photos) while NOT on a Zoom meeting/call? I can't seem to find the 'background' function in 'settings.' I have a "Basic" account. Thx for any help!

I think if your computer is deemed by the Zoom app to not be capable of supporting virtual backgrounds, then you might not be able to access the option.
