Chat redesign is a mess

How can people in a group now send you private chat messages so you can see them all at once? The new design shows a "main chat" icon, but that's not private. If I want to see what a bunch of people are sending me, now I have to open each of their icons. This doesn't work.

Totally agree the new chat layout feels cluttered and less intuitive. Especially frustrating during fast-paced meetings when you need to catch up quickly.

Hopefully, Zoom takes this feedback seriously and offers a toggle for the classic view in future updates.

I am sorry you are frustrated by the update. I agree that you suggest a use case where the update is not a good solution for.

The engineering team is reviewing the feedback and working on additional changes.
