I have been struggling to figure out why my guitar cannot be clearly heard on music lessons via Zoom. I have set the audio according the the suggestions of my teacher and also what zoom recommends and still my guitar sound is cut short.
Advanced settings are as follows:
1) original sound for musicians checked
2)high fidelity mode checked
3) echo cancellation not checked
4) stereo audio checked
if I check zoom background noise removal then original sounds for musicians becomes unchecked.
does anyone have any suggestions?

You were fine up to step 3. The setting in the meeting is still off by default so you still must turn on the setting in the meeting in the upper right of the Zoom window. Click "Original Sound for musicians" so it goes from off to on.

Thank you for this solution!! I thought that if I had checked original sound in the audio settings I would not need to take this additional step.!! I am now able to be heard. Many thanks!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this obvious step that I didn’t realize. I thought that if original sound was checked under audio settings, I would not need to toggle it to “on” on the top of the screen. I am now able to be heard!!!
