Can the host get recordings made by a participant?

Dear community members,

I'd like to confirm on the following scenarios for zoom recordings.

1. For all zoom software versions with recording function, is it possible for the host to have a recording of a zoom meeting if he allows a participant to record at her end and the host didn't press the recording button at his end at all?

2. For all zoom software versions with recording function, is it possible for the host to have a recording of a zoom meeting if he allows a participant to record at her end for the first part of the meeting and in the second part the host starts recording at his end? Does it matter if the participant is in a breakout room when the recording starts and didn't stop recording and later on goes to the main room where the host then starts recording?

3. Under what circumstances will the host have a recording of a meeting session other than when the host clicks on the recording button on his end?

Your help on this is much appreciated.

@ArielH1 -

1) If the participant records locally, it is recorded on their computer and you would have to ask them for a copy.  If they record to the cloud, it would be under your recordings.

2) If the participant records locally, it will be on their computer and you would have to ask them for a copy.  If they record to the cloud, it would create 2 different recordings in the cloud on the host account. The host's half of the recording would be on their computer or the cloud, depending on their choice.

3) If anyone records to the cloud, the recording will go to the host's cloud account.
