Smart Recordings have short memories

I teach multiple classes per week on Zoom. All are archived as Smart Recordings. However, the inbuilt AI makes the same errors over and over, such as misspelling my name (it's the same as my user name), and mistaking my sex/using opposite pronouns.

I can go into Smart Chapters and edit in the corrections, but I wonder why it never "learns" what is correct from week to week, and also why some classes are almost letter perfect - name, sex, transcript - and some are so far off...in the same ways each week.

Assistance, anyone?

Hello @RiverCityZoomer

I am not sure what is the issue, or context, or devices involved in the Meeting/Webinar/Session, but what I can say is that Zoom doesn't use any host or participants information or meeting content to Train/Retrain their AI Models; it is part of the privacy/compliance model.

What they use is the Thumbs Up/Down on results and then requesting feedback on the answer and there is where details should be provided so the issues can be address properly. So look for those opportunities. Of course, there is always the option of opening a ticket with support so they are aware of the issue that that, according to your comment, it is as inconsistent as persistent.

I don't know if this could help, in case you have a name than could be tricky for a computer to spell (you never know),  in your Zoom Portal you can populate a field called "Name Pronunciation" (PERSONAL > Profile); I don't know if AI Companion uses that information but I thought if might be worth a shot to try (assuming you haven't tried that yet).

Another thing you could try (I don't think it would help much, but "the worst diligence is the one that is not done"): If have integrated your Calendar, Contacts and Mail with Zoom, you could enable it to access the information to provide more and more accurate responses (in theory); also access to Web Contents, Local Files Uploads, etc.

Assuming you are an Admin in the Zoom Account, that is done in: "ADMIN > User Management > Groups", you select the group you are in (typically there is only one: "Default Group").

Scroll down to the "Data sources" option and select as needed.

I hope this somehow can help.

Vinnie.
