Recording notification prompts

I came across this article and just had a few questions about the recording disclaimers: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0068228

- Does "Show a disclaimer to participants when a recording starts" mean the pop up that asks a user to accept that the call is being recorded?

- Is it possible to remove this pop up for certain users and if so does that mean recording can start and they don't have to interact with the client at all?

Yes, that's correct.

To be clear, the recording will continue without user input in either case - the prompt just serves as an acknowledgement or an option for participants to leave the meeting if uncomfortable with the fact that it's very much being recorded.

Yes, enabling this setting will trigger a pop-up (potentially customizable, based on your license/plan) if enabled on the host's account. Participants can either consent to stay in the session or leave.

The pop-up is tied to the meeting host's account and can be configured at the company-account, group, or user level (meaning the prompt can be set to only trigger in specific hosts' meetings).

Regarding who sees the pop-up in a given host's meeting, your only options (as of this post) are to scope this for 'All Participants' or 'Guests Only'.

Thanks for your response. If I turn this setting off for a zoom room, does this mean that when a meeting is happening that is recorded, this prompt will not appear in the zoom rooms client and the meeting can continue to be recorded without any user input?

With the prompt in place, it seemed like the room couldn't share its camera or mic until the prompt was accepted - with this turned off, will the rooms camera and mic be able to work with the recording enabled?
