I have my display name set, but when I join a meeting the name comes up as Zoom User and I end up having to change it for that meeting. How can I get Zoom to actually use my display name as it’s set in my profile?

I have a similar problem:
Prerequisites:
1. I am not logged into Zoom
2. I am following an invitation link
(3. I use a Mac 4. I am on firefox)

(I enter the meeting without having to log in or give a display name

Display name:
Display name is other then my set display name. It is a display name I used a couple of time when my laptop was used in a zoom meeting when I set it as "my group at a certain place"

How can I delete this "old name", where does Zoom store it in Firefox on Mac

It's stored on your Zoom account.

You need to be logged in for Zoom to recognize you and use your info.
If you join from a web browser, log in here and join from there:

Sign In | Zoom

If you join from the windows/Mac app, make sure you log in before you join.

Hi Alex-PFT,
thanks for taking your time to answer.
I am aware of this route. But very often, I just want to quickly hop on a Zoom Mtg just following the link and not additionally log in.
Again, what I want to change is my display name: not logged in, Firefox, Mac. Where in Firefox does Zoom store my not-logged in display name so I can change it

As far as I know, if you are not logged into Zoom, you always show up as an anonymous "Zoom User".  The only time it knows your name (or Display Name) is when you are logged in.

That's what I think too.

Hi, all.  I have changed my Display name, preferred name, profile name, etc., etc., but Zoom still reflects my full name when I join a work Zoom meeting.  Any suggestions, since Zoom is being less than helpful (referring me to the Community, articles that don't fully address what to do after I've done all of the above).  Thank you.
