Hello

I would value advice on whether there is a way of configuring Zoom to enable a mouse pointer on a Windows machine to be included in screen recording. I want to point to text while I am speaking but I am not sure if the pointing can be recorded.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @margmacd

I believe your cursor may not be shown if you are sharing just an application window.

I believe if you share an entire screen, the cursor should be shown on the Screen Share.

Maybe try experimenting with both options to see what happens.

Just as a good housekeeping measure, also, make sure your Zoom client app is up-to-date in case that makes a difference.

Hope this helps.

Hello!

My cursor/pointer shows up in my recordings as long as I'm screen sharing.  You can also enable annotation and use the spotlight feature. It's like a laser pointer that highlights your cursor with a little red glow. The newer feature also includes a vanishing pen so that you can highlight/mark-up something on the shared screen and it will disappear after a few seconds. Please see the attached pictures.
