On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

“Require users to update the client” feature

Under “Require users to update the client” > “Set the minimum client versions below:” For IOS the “Latest” listed there is version 5.17.10. Yet from the Apple App Store I got and have been using version 6.0.2 for over a week now! Why is the selection to this truly “Latest” 6.0.2 not showing up under the “Require users to update the client” feature?

Apple App Store now has Version 6.0.5 (15389) as the latest!

I searched on every forum on internet and eventually end up fixing this by requiring users to update their client software is a common practice for maintaining security, ensuring compatibility, and providing access to the latest features. By enforcing updates, organizations can reduce the risk of security breaches caused by outdated software vulnerabilities. Additionally, updates often include performance improvements and bug fixes, which can enhance the user experience. While some users may find updates inconvenient, they are essential for protecting data and ensuring the software functions optimally.
