I cannot find an option in settings to Not have a waiting room. in other words, I dont need or want a waiting room password or any other security measures. But there is no option for that- as far as i could tell. Can anyone help? thanks. Gal1
Joined a meeting today and there was no option to turn my camera off, check chat, see participants are otherwise participate in the meeting. The toolbar was completely gone. I thought it was due to that particular meetings settings however I started my own meeting and the issue persisted. The only button at the bottom was the mute button. Can not swipe up or down to find the toolbar or invite link. There is no leave button when swiping from the top or hitting the back button. Clicked both sides of the meeting screen, every corner and every place but the toolbar, 3 dots, etc are not there. Latest update was 09/16 and my meeting on 09/29 did not have this issue. Restarted my phone, uninstalled and re-installed zoom, checked settings to make sure that the meeting settings have "always show meeting controls" turned on. Is there an update or patch that is missing? Why are all the controls for the meeting gone? Been using zoom for 5 years and am at a complete
Hi - I'm trying to utilize a 3rd party survey link for meetings and I believed the setting was disabled by our IT team. However, when our IT team looked into it, they said that the 3rd party survey toggle was visible for a few days while they investigated in early January, but then disappeared from their settings at the end of January. They shared a screenshot with me that shows a box that says "Hosts will no longer be able to use 3rd-party survey links in newly and previously scheduled meetings."Is it true that 3rd party survey links are no longer able to be used at all? Or is it still an option, but the toggle moved to somewhere else recently?
I blocked someone and then deleted their chat but now we settled the issue and we've been trying to talk but I cant unblock because I can't find their contact and when they try sending a friend request to me I can't see it, I hope zoom can come up with a solution for this issue.
Currently, I can't get Zoom to launch. I try to open a link and nothing happens. I can't make a meeting in the browser.I can download Zoom, but I can't even get the app to open. The only thing I am able to do is pick "Join from your browser" The meeting opens, but with audio only, even though it has my video permissions. I have looked for solutions. I have cleared my cache and cookies. I have cleared my temporary data, and I have reinstalled the app. None of that has worked so far.Reaching out for help because I am trying to interview for jobs right now and its definitely important. All the best
I have online music classes for a long time. Suddenly, from this week, two students encountered the same issue during the class, which is that the setting to original audio does not stop Zoom from auto-suppressing the sound. I can't hear their their piano playing at all, and all background noise disappeared too. I changed devices using a phone, iPad and Windows laptop, the issue persists. I'm sure it's not my receiving side's issue. It's the issue with the device of my students. They both use Apple products, iPhone and iPad. Is there an iPad upgrade that conflicts with the Zoom setting? Has anybody encountered the same issue as I did?
i found it's very disturbing to me when i need to listen to it hundreds of times in big meetings.
Hey y’all! I am the owner of my zoom license and for some reason it has me locked out of admin rights to update things. On my instant meetings it is making people have a password mostly on the phone and trying to fix this. Thanks for you help!
I have recorded a few Clips with Zoom, where can I locate the recordings on my PC? They do not appear to be in the meeting recordings.
Hey folks - Even though my org's profiles allow guests to specify their preferred pronouns, the meeting summary is misgendering attendees and I have to proofread and edit the notes extensively to correct those mistakes. I think it would be hugely helpful to provide context about attendees' pronouns (assuming that isn't being done already) when generating these summaries. Thanks!
I have a one-time webinar I created in Events. It looks like it may go over the cap on our Unlimited Event Licence. Is there a way to add the Pay Per Attendee Add-On licence to my account so we can pay per attendee for any overages? Or is the only way to increase the attendee size to move up to the next size on the event's annual plan?
Is there a way to save a speaker bio in Zoom. I cant seem to find a place to store a speakers bio, and I have to recreate the bio each time I schedule a Webinar. Can anyone help?
Merci, Bien cordialement,
Hi, I teach a class tomorrow to students and I would like to send them for a while to separated virtual classrooms so they can work by groups. I do this easily with my computer, but tomorrow I will only have my iPad. Where is the icon ? Thank you for helping
Hello Zoom team, I would like to suggest an improvement for the Enter key behavior in Zoom chat. Adjust the Enter key behavior in Zoom Phone so it doesn't send the message immediately. I’d like the option to have pressing Ctrl + Enter create a new line instead of sending the message. Thank you for considering this feature request!
Whenever I schedule a Zoom meeting on my desktop, the email invite opens in the old version of Outlook instead of the New Outlook, which I prefer to use. I've already set the New Outlook as my default email app in my system settings, but Zoom still defaults to the old version. ICS files are set to open in New Outlook btw. Does anyone know how I can fix this so that Zoom opens email invites in the New Outlook? Any help would be appreciated!
I am reporting a persistent technical issue with Zoom's Live Transcription in our research lab meetings. The Core Issue: Despite the "Speaking Language" (Source Language) being manually set to Japanese on the host's side, the AI engine consistently interprets our Professor's speech as English phonetics, outputting gibberish English instead of Japanese characters.Critical Evidence: Peer Contrast: Other participants' speech in the same meeting is correctly recognized and transcribed as Japanese. Only the Professor’s voice triggers this English override. Historical Consistency: This setup worked perfectly a few months ago. The issue appeared recently without any changes to our settings. Global Settings: All users have their interface and subtitle languages set to Japanese. It seems as if the system is completely ignoring the user's manual selection and forcing the English engine onto this specific audio stream. Is this a known bug, or are there hidden back-end settings that need adjust
I installed the Grain Recorder on my Mac and integrated it with my Zoom account. Then, when I decided to no longer use it, I removed it from my installed apps on Zoom, AND I uninstalled it from my computer. And yet it STILL keeps entering every Zoom meeting room I start. How do I get this thing properly disconnected from my Zoom account? Thank you.
For one of our groups in Contact Center, we need to collect information from our callers and then have that information sent to an Inbox so it can be listened to by the team. What we’re planning is that when the callers hit the flow, they will be presented with a question → answer the question; and then the system will repeat this for as many questions as there are. When all questions have been recorded, all of these answers should then be forwarded to an Inbox where the interaction can be reviewed. This is the configuration that we’re trying to get to work but we’re having some issues getting the CollectInput widget to capture responses from the callers. And we do have “Voice input” enabled. This is the basic flow but not sure if this will get us what we want:Question 1 (Send Media widget) → Collect verbal response to question 1 (Collect Input widget)Question 2 (Send Media widget) → Collect verbal response to question 2 (Collect Input widget)Thank you message → Route collected responses
I am planning to interview a professional who founded and runs an online tutoring company. The interview will last at least 15 minutes, and my goal is to better understand what their role looks like day to day, as well as how creativity and creative problem-solving play a role in building and running their business.I want this interview to feel like a natural conversation that encourages storytelling, real examples, and thoughtful reflection rather than short or yes/no answers. I am especially interested in how they approach challenges, adapt to students’ needs, and make decisions when there is no obvious solution. Can you help me generate 3–5 open-ended interview questions that explore: What their role is and what that looks like in practice How creativity shows up in their daily work How creative problem-solving is used in online education How they handle challenges or obstacles in their business Please make the questions engaging, flexible, and designed to lead to meaningful fo
Dear Zoom Product Team,I am writing to express my surprise regarding the absence of Arabic from the list of supported languages in the Zoom interface, especially considering the platform’s global leadership in communication. The Comparison: Why Arabic MattersAccording to current global statistics, the Arabic language is spoken by over 450 million people worldwide. It is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. When looking at the current language selection menu (as shown in the attached image), Zoom supports several languages with significantly smaller speaker bases, such as: Swedish (~10 million speakers) Dutch (~25 million speakers) Polish (~40 million speakers) The number of Arabic speakers is nearly double the combined total of several languages currently supported. This creates a significant gap for millions of professional users, educators, and students in the MENA region who rely on Zoom daily.Strategic ValueAdding Arabic is not just about translation; it’s abo
Hi there,I am hoping that someone can help me. I would like to know if Zoom can translate from Arabic into English in real-time? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Regards
DISCUSSION ABOUT SOFTWARE TESTING
I schedule meetings through Zoom Pro regularly. For about two to three months now, I have not had breakout rooms available in my Zoom app (using Windows 11).I've tried contacting the support team who confirmed that everything in my account was set up correctly, but couldn't help me with the missing breakout rooms. Unfortunately, I cannot upload images as of yet. Things I have tried so far (all with the desired effect):go through all the settings in my profile for breakout rooms, checked several times whether breakout rooms were available (and Zoom support has confirmed that it is set-up correctly in my account)uninstalling and reinstalling Zoom to make sure I have the latest version availabletried hosting meetings both on Windows and iOStried making another person to the host in my meeting, but he did not have breakout rooms available then eithertried starting meetings directly from the app (instead of via link)Nothing. The only thing that has worked was using another ac
Hi, I am currently experiencing what seems like a permissions design or technical issue with a Zoom Event. I have a few sponsors and exhibitors and each of them is permitted access to attend all the sessions. In both webinar and meeting sessions for our multi-session event, whenever these accounts join they are AUTOMATICALLY made a co-host, which creates an administrative burden to the actual meeting host to then have to remove them from that role, PLUS lots of confusion for our sponsor/exhibitor contacts who simply want to attend educational sessions NOT co-host them. Zoom chat support has left me hanging on this and I'm wondering, is this a tech issue for our event, or simply an error in design of the Zoom events program??Reading through permissions how-to's it seems that exhibitors should only be able to host their OWN sessions in the expo booth or ones that we have assigned them to specifically, but this is not what we are finding in practice. If you've had a
