Hi, I have downloaded zoom on my laptop just so I can use it for meetings outside my home. However, upon entering a meeting with a promotional video, it suddenly freezes and gives me this error: Zoom has quit unexpectedly. (Note: this does not happen with my PC as it loads the promotional video without errors and I can wait for several minutes before meeting starts) However, with my laptop running windows 11, it seems to get this error regardless of multiple attempts of reinstalls, updates, and even cleaning my cache and background apps. It does show high ram usage regardless of the amount of applications I put in disable upon startup and deep sleep. I am using Acer Nitro 5 with 8GB of ram. Does anyone have the same problem as I do? Please help. Thank you! Attached herewith is the link to the error message. Error Message
Is anyone else seeing this message “This webinar has reached the maximum allowed share sound sessions” when trying to share over another person who is already sharing with sound? This seems new to 7.0.0 They only solution we found was to stop sharing sound on the shared then overtake with screen share, or have sound off on overtaking device then turn on sound once shared. It’s doable but not ideal for our workflow.
I joined a meeting and for the first time ever, experienced a horrible echo. My phone was off; there were no other devices active in the room. I tried both speaker types. I downloaded a new driver. I contacted Zoom support and the bot told me I had to pay for a plan to get to audio settings to cancel echoes. I did notice upon leaving the meeting that somehow I was on as two participants - not sure how that happened; but could that have been the problem?
I work for a law firm and there are several courts that publish their zoom meeting links to join and either watch or participate. We have a polycom system that is connected to a zoom account. The polycom can connect to Zoom meetings either manually, or ones added to the account calendar. We would like to add these public meetings to our zoom calendar. I have tried taking the link and putting it in the outlook calendar connected to the zoom account. The meetings never show in zoom. I have tested the link and I can create meetings that sync and end up in outlook. I can invite that zoom account to meetings another creates and that ends up in zoom meetings and the outlook calendar. But I have tried manually adding the meeting to the outlook calendar, and tried inviting that outlook account to a event using that public zoom link. Zoom isnt seeing the link or something. How do I add these public meetings to our zoom calendar?
I am the host on our zoom mtg. I am out of town and don’t know how to have someone start meeting if I can’t. I paid for zoom account but our teacher needs to be able to start meeting without me. How do I do that?
Dear Zoom Product Team,I am an online tutor who uses Zoom extensively for one-to-one lessons with students.I would like to suggest a feature that could be very valuable for teachers, tutors, and educational institutions.Currently, during online lessons, seeing a student's webcam is often not enough to ensure that they are fully engaged in the lesson. Some students may switch to games, social media, videos, or other unrelated content while the lesson is in progress.I would like Zoom to introduce an optional feature that allows a host or teacher to view a student's desktop in real time, provided that the student has explicitly granted permission. My suggestion is to add a simple toggle button within the participant's video panel: Click once to switch from the student's webcam video to their desktop view. Click again to switch back to the webcam video. The student would always be notified that desktop monitoring is active and would have the ability to stop sharing at any time. This wou
When I am on a Zoom call I have it set up on half of my screen. Whenever I open or close chat in a meeting the zoom window resizes and changes position. When chat is opened, instead of resizing the elements within the zoom window to create room for the chat window, the entire Zoom window resizes, adding on the width to display the chat. When chat is closed, the Zoom window resizes to the original size, but it's screen positioning is shifted left. Fix: Do not change the window size when chat is opened. Zoom window sized to half of the screen: When chat is opened, Zoom window width increases to fit chat. When chat is closed, Zoom window width returns to original width, but stays aligned to where it expanded to the left. Edit: Same experience with participants.
I am aware of how to embed the current iframe registration page. However, it does not work well with our site style. Event updating the branding style of the registration page does not look right. Is there any way to seamlessly embed the registration form stripped of Zoom branding with custom fonts to match our site style? We use Cognito forms for other form registrations, and it works perfectly, matching our style, minus a slight change in font, which is easy to live with. For reference, we have the pro 1 account with only 1 host, so it seems like we might be limited.
Recently, on 3 separate occasions, I logged in as a guest to another host’s scheduled meeting. When I clicked on the invite link, it logged me in multiple times, I appeared in the participant window as 3 times???- and I couldn’t close any of the “2 extras” and had to log out completely- but when I tried to re-enter the meeting the same problem occurred...ANY SUGGESTION OR HELP AS TO WHY THIS IS HAPPENING???
We have a Voicemailbox for compliance, and we can't capture any data that could be tied to an employee. Is there a way to have a VM box not capture the who called #.. or anyway to mask it only for the one number? Thanks!
Hi Everyone,I can only view my upcoming meetings until the end of April 2025.I'd like to be able to view beyond what seems to be just 90 days. I have a schedule that is planned out through July and need to be able to look at, change and confirm details (manually approve participants) for meetings beyond the 90 days, this is very limiting. There must be a way to set the view to a longer time range. Input appreciated!
Want to reset zoom settings to default on my laptop.

Topics for the next NACHO 360 for the Virtual attendance
The end survey only appears on the lobby and the thank you emails, it would be more visible if the companion app would redirect attendees to it directly, would it be possible to add this as a new feature please?
It would be nice if I could email somebody at Zoom to talk about a bug they previously fixed but has recently returned… Seems like I can’t create support tickets anymore for some reason, and the previous ticket is now closed. This is a previous message from support describing how the bug occurred (their words, not mine): Our engineering team has identified the root cause. It appears that when the meeting was previously deleted and subsequently recovered, it caused the expiration index to not be cleared. Which then caused the registration index to expire, even though the meeting itself is active.• The Fix: A permanent bug fix and a database policy update are scheduled for February 7th.• Manual Correction: After the February 7th release, we will be able to manually correct the index for this specific meeting to restore the link.• Workaround: In the meantime, to get your registration back up and running immediately, we recommend one of the following:Re-create the meeting: Crea
Recently, Zoom’s Note-taking has popped up on my Mac each time I use Siri to place a call on my iPhone – see the attached screenshot.I’ve not found a setting to block this pop-up.-- Ward
Dear Zoom community, for the last few weeks I have been experiencing severe system slowdowns during Zoom video calls on Linux. In Zoom meetings, it suddenly happens that the interaction with all programs becomes laggy. I'm hoping someone can point me toward better diagnostic tools or steps to understand what's going wrong. Setup:Lenovo ThinkPad T15s Gen 5 (Intel Core 7 164U, 64 GB RAM) Ubuntu 24.04, kernel 6.17.0-29-generic Latest Zoom client Version 7.0.5 (3034). Over the last few weeks, I have repeatedly updated the Zoom client to the latest versions when they appeared in the hope that these would resolve the problem, but without success. Problem description:During video calls, it suddenly happens that the interaction with any program becomes slow and laggy. This stays for ~60 seconds before everything returns back to normal. The slowdown returns every few minutes without any visible triggering event. Looking at htop, I can see the Zoom client spawning 15-20 processes with individual
Can anyone explain why my screen goes black at random times during some Zoom meetings? The sound stays on for a few minutes & I think the others in the meeting can still see me, but then it goes completely dead and I'm logged out of my computer. I have to re-log into my computer to get back into the meeting. This happens quite randomly - sometimes after only about 10 minutes into the meeting; sometimes 30-40 minutes, sometimes never. I've checked all my computer settings, and it's set not to go to sleep for one hour, so I'm pretty sure it's not the computer settings. I can't find any settings in Zoom that could be causing this.
I do a lot of tutoring in math at various levels and I want to be able to do fractions, protractor, coordinates, geometry, and more with the whiteboard instead of having to jump back and forth between screen share and white board. It gets to be quite cumbersome and annoying.
There are scheduled meetings every week using the same link and details. I would like a step by step guide of how to add additional one off meeting in between the scheduled meetings using the same link and details. Is this possible?
Hi there. I want to provide 1080p resolution for my consulting business, however, I only need one license because I work with single clients at a time. Is there a way to purchase a business account (~$20/mo) without having to get 10-99 licenses? I only need one license (for myself). Just looking to provide 1080p quality--any way to accomplish this? Thank you.
Hello, Does anyone know how to completely disable the Continuous Meeting Chat feature in Zoom Admin? I found the option to turn it off at Settings > Meetings > Schedule Meeting so I disabled it but it is still active/enabled by default when creating a new meeting.
Similar to my Outlook and other “Home” screens of this type, being able to see my tasks immediately when I enter, instead of having to click on the tasks option, would greatly increase my engagement with this feature, specifically. As someone with horrible ADHD, out of sight = out of mind. I am able to open my “Activity Center” panel, and I can see my calendar (although, it would be nice if I could see more than a single day of this as well), but I can’t see my tasks easily when I open my Workplace. I haven’t been able to find a way to do this. Am I missing something that allows this option (and the option to see a week of my calendar as well)?
There’s a weekly meeting that I’ve attended for years. Never had a problem with seeing and saving the live transcript until a few weeks ago. Now, when I click on Transcript nothing happens. No error codes, nothing happening to the display. Zoom’s VA is dumber than mud and after literally hours trying to troubleshoot with it, I’m done wasting my time there. Others in the meeting can still see/save the live transcript just fine.I have a basic, free account. I’m using the zoom app on a Windows laptop. Windows is up to date, zoom is up to date, everything is up to date. Please help!
