Why won't they fix the recurring "no fixed time" menu option in the desktop app?

This once was not a problem, but now it is. I see old posts providing the solution, but still the desktop app does not have the option "no fixed time". I have to open it up in my web browser. What's the problem? Why not fix this? If it has been fixed...

I want the classic whiteboard back

I unticked/unchecked the button that says:"Use Whiteboard by default if available" I restarted zoom ... nothing has changed, I still get the old whiteboard that is not fit for purpose.
