I teach yoga classes on Zoom meetings and would like to post a list of props that students will need for that class that they will see as they log on (or any other current news I'd like to post, like 'no classes next week due to holiday', etc.).

This could certainly be accomplished with the new Zoom Whiteboard or just sharing your screen in combination with a Powerpoint or Google Slides presentation. Either way would work, just depends on how much design you want to incorporate in the notice. If going for more complicated, I'd go with the slideshow.
