I have the same issue, and found another thread that had a link to an article for "Troubleshooting missing Check for Updates option":

It basically gives steps to uninstall zoom and reinstall it (you first need to check whether you have the MSI or EXE version). I haven't tried the suggestion yet, but I hope that it's helpful.
