Chat notifications

Hi so I was wondering if there was a way to turn on chat notifications? I never seem to get any and if I'm on another tab it can be quite upsetting/stressful believe it or not..

I have the notifications turned on but it is not working.  Any ideas how to get this to work?

Thanks Bri.  The feature is providing notification, but not a notification with sound.  I still have to keep double-checking the app for messages and it causes a delay in my response time.  Is there a way to ensure a sound plays with the notification?

I agree. There should be notifications for chat, but I don't know how or if there is.
