I've struggled a bit with the concept of a licensed user.
We are a small business and only use zoom phone, we don't use meetings.
We have incoming / outgoing phone numbers, call queues, Auto receptionist and voicemail.
QUESTION
What would happen if I downgraded a user (a receptionist) from a licensed phone to 'basic'?
Thanks
Richard

@RichardB1 a Zoom Phone Basic license has the following limited features:
- extension-to-extension calling only
- mobile device support
- hold/retrieve, transfer, add call, forwarding
- 3-way calling
- ability to receive a transferred/forwarded PSTN call
Features below are not available to a user with Zoom Phone Basic license.
- a phone number/DID/DDI assigned
- place external calls
- be a member of Shared Line Group
- be a member of a Call Queue
- be routed to off dial by name directory/AR
- have a physical desk phone
- call recording
A Zoom Phone Pro base license (or any Zoom Phone license but not Zoom Phone Basic) is needed to have all those features. Therefore for an auto receptionist user journey, Zoom Phone Basic license is not applicable.

Thanks Zac you're awesome, I couldnt' find that information anywhere!
Zoom phone is an awesome product, the zoom documentation needs to be improved as so much relates to enterprise businesses, a section on typical small business setup to replicate two receptionists at the front desk and 2 x professionals would be aswsome but we got there thanks to zoom community 🙂
