Hello all,Does anyone know if I can set up a Fax Mailbox in Zoom Voice and forward that to an email address? I set up an Auto Attendant with my fax number and set it to forward to an email address. Just looking to see if that is all I need?

Hi,

There isn't built-in support for faxing with Zoom Phone. Faxing is still an analog technology.

You have two routes that you could take:

A) If you wish to receive faxes in your location, you would need a hardware gateway (fax server) to receive the analog call (and an analog telephone line from your traditional telephone carrier, and then convert the received image to digital. Zoom has certified several pieces of third-party hardware for use with Zoom to do this:

https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360052771292-Setting-up-faxing-AudioCodes-MP1XX-series-

https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360052105152-Setting-up-faxing-Poly-OBi-series-ATA-

or

B) A less complex solution would be to use a third-party Fax Server Service where you subscribe to a service to receive faxes on your behalf with a telephone number dedicated for your incoming faxes, and the ability to upload scanned or digital images such as PDFs that you create to be transmitted by fax.

I hope this helps!

@RITHVIK1

Good day!

Are you asking if Zoom will be able to receive an incoming fax, convert it to a TIFF or PDF and forward that to an email address?  If so, the answer is no, Zoom doesn't have a native fax service today.  You can have an ATA device configured for a physical fax machine or you can forward to an eFax solution.  There are integrations like FaxSIPit that you can review as well.  https://www.faxsipit.com/zoom/ for your reference.

It has been 2 years - has Zoom yet implemented a solution to receive incoming faxes to be routed to an email address as a PDF or TIFF?
