Retrieving SMS history for a given cell number

To all,

 

I have just joined a law firm as part of their IT support and some of the attorneys in the firm have not been saving their SMS messages with their various clients in their zoom meetings.  Is there a way to recover text messages (up to 3 years old) using an existing web api (format shouldn't matter) based on a cell number? Or perhaps by some other approach?
