wait for host to start meeting

Hi I am currently trying to get into a meeting but it says "wait for the host to start the meeting".  I am texting the host and she says nobody is in the waiting room so she can't let me in.  What is the setting she needs to change?

This usually happens when the Participant and the Host are in fact in different meetings. This can happen if the Host started a new Meeting, when in fact they should have started a Meeting that was pre-scheduled maybe. 

Make sure the Meeting ID of the meeting you are trying to join is the same as the Meeting ID the host sitting in. Or - ask them specifically for the link to the meeting they are actually in and started.

If you are specifically seeing "wait for the host to start the meeting", then this has nothing to do with the Waiting Room.
