virtual background

I am new to Zoom and having trouble adding a virtual background. I have a Dell laptop and use Windows.

Exactly what problems are you having?

My laptop is a year old and my stationary computer is newer.  When I got to settings on the drop down it does not show  Virtual Background. I did look at another You tube and saw where you click on the carrot in bottom left and add and I was able to do it that way. I was hoping there was a permanent way to change your background.

To the best of my knowledge, once you select a virtual background it will remain until as the background for future meetings until you change it so no need to have to set it each time - at least that is how mine seems to be working.
