question on copywrite laws for virtual backgrounds

I am using a virtual background that is one of zooms backgrounds that zoom offered. I want to know if I can use continue to use the zoom virtual background when I do a podcast.

Although the podcast  is in audio format,  we will video some parts of it and it  may show up in promotion.

Please advise.

I can't find the answer to this anywhere on the zoom site.

Thank you.

Interesting question. I am not a lawyer nor do in work for Zoom, but would think they would allow/encourage it as free marketing/advertising. I see watermarks for Skype when used on news programs, for example.

My take is Zoom would be more concerned if someone used their product without giving credit.

I just reread your post and see I may have misunderstood. I guess I could see the owner of one of the backgrounds licensed to Zoom being upset/litigious if they found someone else using their background without permission. This is an IP legal question though and I doubt you will get a solid, legally defensible response here..  good luck.

That sounds like a great idea for your podcast! You can definitely continue using Zoom's virtual background during video segments, even if most of the content is audio-based. It adds a professional touch to any promotional clips. If you're looking for more insights on managing content appearances or ensuring everything stays polished, exploring KY arrests insights might offer some useful information. Best of luck with your podcast — it sounds exciting!
