I am unable to play the recorded meetings. It gives me the screen where it says the host shared the recording with me but will not let me play it

If you're seeing a screen that says "The host has shared this recording with you" but you're unable to play it, here are some possible causes and how to fix them:

1. Check if Recording is Still Processing

  • What happens: Zoom recordings (especially cloud recordings) take time to process

2. Try a Different Browser

  • Some browser extensions or settings might block playback.

  • Fix: Use a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and make sure cookies and JavaScript are enabled.

3. Make Sure You’re Logged In to the Right Zoom Account

  • If the host shared the recording with specific Zoom accounts, you must log in with the exact email/account they used to share it.

  • Fix: Log in to zoom.us using the email address that was invited, then refresh the link.

4. Recording Might Be Restricted or Expired

  • The host may have:

    • Disabled downloads or playback.

    • Set an expiration date.

    • Removed your access.

  • Fix: Contact the host of the meeting and confirm:

    • Your email is still on the list.

    • The link is still active.

    • Access permissions are set to allow playback.

6. Try Incognito Mode

  • This helps bypass any cached issues or login confusion.

  • Open a private/incognito browser window and paste the link there.
