When I try to join a Zoom meeting from an email link it does not open the Zoom application on my iPad automatically like it does on my computer, is this a known issue and is there some way to fix it?

Hi @crchan123 and @RN
I have the problem described by @MRW58. I have been using the Zoom client on my iPad for months. Occasionally, I would use a web link from an email or a calendar invitation to join a meeting. Prior to a few weeks ago, the link would open a browser window and then it would open the Zoom application. Most recently, the last two meetings I tried to join this way, the weblink no longer worked. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Zoom application. I restarted the iPad. Neither of these fixed the problem.

YES!!! I have this same problem starting about the same time (summer 2024). This is so annoying. It asks me to open the zoom workplace app and then I have to enter manually the meeting id and passcode. This was NOT a problem previously on my iPad. I open meeting links on my computer just fine.

Hi @MRW58 just checking in on @crchan123 reply!
With a meeting link within an email body, text message, or any other messaging field; if hyperlinked correctly, the Zoom app will automatically open after testing this. 🙂 Suggest updating your Zoom application or iOS device to see if that helps.

That is not the problem. The iPad updates the apps automatically. There is something on the Zoom end.

This problem persists. Just today with everything updated (I have downloaded the zoom app many times in the past month) and my iPad is always on the lastest iOS.
