i'm using windows and can't share screen

error 117001

Just for informartion to this topic, i had the same problem 3 weeks ago. 

We fount that problem was with application eID, which our government use for signing of documents with ID card. After uninstaling immediatelly helps. 

Yesterday was isued new patch of this application and problen didnt apear so they fix it.  Mabe it is something simmilar to your problem, this applicartion protect screen sharing because of security , and change some DLL in windows i think so.

Hello, I have the same problem. When I try to share screen, it gives me error 117 001.

Can you please help me with this? I tried all the steps to fix it - reinstalling, clearing zoom cache, clearing browser cache...

I have the same problem, i use ZOOM more then 3 years , and sudenly i received this error, i tried to reinstall on older version, but dint help me, still the same. i tried to  use other account, no change, it is problem with incompatibility on my SW enwironment. I instaled Slack, telegram and Signal application last weeks, i dont know after which instalation start be this probblem, but maybe it is helpfull for you

 

I don't think it's related to that. I still use Telegram and haven't changed anything in it.

@sulthnn have you been able to share screens previously?

Yes I have. And if I log in with the same account on another desktop, the problem does not occur.

Thank you JaroslavKlein, yes, the eID app is the issue. Uninstall helped.

Confirming that in Slovakia it can be eID from our government. Just solved the issue by uninstalling the eID app

HI. I had a issue with the virtual background, loading my calendar and screen share. I was looking for solution already a month. I have just today uninstalled the EID program and all the issues are gone.

Hi Matej! I see that SK eID is the issue, but how do you manage at the end to have both Zoom screen sharing and eID enabled? Both are needed, unfortunately...

I solved the problem by uninstalling the EiD app. When I reinstalled it, everything is ok.

Problem solved by update of eID app.

Comment: Zoom and eID are using some same surce/driver/dll/... because during the update eID app was paused - shown window with 2 applications which are recommended to stop before the update - both were Zoom processes. I stopped Zoom totally and let continue the update. After finish I closed eID and started Zoom. Finally there is no problem with sharing!!! Unbelievable, but YES! It helped!!!
