Zoom won't open on Mac

I have tried downloading Zoom but cannot open it.

I get the error message "You can’t open the application “zoom.us” because this application is not supported on this Mac."

I have tried reinstalling and have changed my security settings to allow applications downloaded from App store and identified developers.

I have a macbook air Ventura 13.1.

Close the Zoom app. Restart your computer. Grant Zoom the permissions it needs. Close other apps that are using the Mac's camera and microphone.

Mac hates Zoom now. Thankfully so many other alternatives. Deleted and canceled my premium.

Hello,

Make sure you downloaded the correct version for your cpu. There is an Intel version and an Apple Silicon version.

Oh, I did. I work in tech. Something went wrong with the last OSX and Zoom updates, and the removal of the old versions and installing the new ones. All good; I moved on.

I agree!  all of a sudden my MacBook no longer will allow me to participate on zoom meetings!!! what happened?Zoom still works on my ipad and iphone.

I get the same message as above and have ensured that the permissions were correct.

How did you fixed the problem? I'm struggling here with this same issue. Tried everything already 😞

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @pastycja! I'm sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. Can you kindly do a clean reinstall with the latest version and let us know if the issue persists?

Have you heard of Zoom AI Companion?

I solved this problem like this.
When installing Zoom on a MacBook, Zoom kept asking me whether to install it for Everyone or just for Me.
When installing for everyone, nothing worked, didn't start, and said it wasn't compatible with my Mac, even though I had the latest version of the OS.

Then I chose to install just for me - and blah-blah - everything worked.

i have THE solution! i experienced the same issues, uninstalled, reinstalled, updated to latest macOS version, nothing worked. when i logged into my zoom account online, i clicked "Host" just because i wanted to see how zoom works online (rather than the app) to see if i can still utilize it. when i clicked "Host" it automatically downloaded a .pkg file to my computer, which has a different file name than the one from when i downloaded from https://zoom.us/download?os=mac and clicked "Download for Apple Silicon". the .pkg file that didn't work was called "zoomusInstallerFull.pkg" but the new one that DOES work is just "Zoom.pkg". went through the installation steps and everything works fine. zoom needs to update the download link on their site.
