Zoom ion changed, Now Zoom doesn't work

I opened my Lenovo laptop to start a zoom meeting on Google Chrome using my free Zoom Account. But the Zoom icon had changed from the little camera to a blue circle with ZOOM written in white.

Clicking  the icon does nothing. There is no meeting launch.

Pasting the address of Zoom meetings to which I've been invited opens the "Launch Meetings" window but clicking the button does nothing.

Any suggestions on how to fix this ?

you might want to consider installing zoom windows client which has more features than the google chrome browser.  you can download from:
