Lost audio when the meeting's speaker is changed

This didn't happen before. But for the last couple of weeks, this happens in ALL Zoom meetings I join with different organizations.

1. The speaker is speaking, all is perfect.

2. The speaker is replaced, giving the word to another speaker.

3. I can't listen to the new speaker. Not a word. But others in the meeting can (I use Linux Mint, Google Chrome and join meetings via the Chrome browser, not the Zoom app).

4. When I noticed this problem, I found a workaround: I reload the browser's tab. So I reload the zoom meeting, leaving for an instant and joining again.

5. With this workaround, I can listen to the new speaker perfectly.

But I know this is some bug or imperfection, because before 2 weeks ago, whenever they changed the speaker in any meeting, I always listened perfectly, no matter how many speakers spoke, and this is how Zoom should normally work. This is a new Zoom issue. And I very much prefer to join with the browser than installing the app. Thank you for reading, have a nice day.

Hello there,

I'm sorry for the inconvenience you experienced.

Kindly try using the Zoom desktop app for Linux

If feasible, try joining meetings via the official Zoom desktop client instead of the browser. The desktop app generally offers more stable audio handling and better support for speaker transitions.

You may also try a different browser

If you're currently using Chrome, test the experience in an alternative browser like Firefox, Chromium, or Brave. A recent Chrome update may have introduced a compatibility issue with Zoom’s in-browser audio.
