On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Zoom Client Update Version

Dear all,

 

We are unable to do upgrade the zoom client version from 5.11 to 5.14 via Intune automatically without user sign in. 

For upgrading the version, the user has to sign in first before they could updating the version. 

 

Is there anyway that we could configure policy to ensure the Zoom Client can upgrade without sign in?

Zoom regularly provides new versions of the Zoom desktop client and mobile app to release new features and fix bugs. We recommend updating to the latest version when it is available to receive the best video and audio experience.

@Jameswalter thank you for your feedback. However, it won't answer my expectation. I am looking for configuration policy via intune where update happen automatically when new version has released and won't need any triggers from user as well. The app will update silently. 

 

Any thought?
