OS: Ubuntu 24.04.2
Zoom: Version 6.6.0
Logged in through work account.
A watermark of my email address was showing on my video and shared screens on my zoom client. The host did not have watermarks enabled in settings and nobody else in the meeting had watermarks. This is the first time I have seen them.
Last time I used this client (two days ago) with the same host and same account there were no watermarks.
Why were they there and how can I stop them from appearing?
Thanks

Same here. As the Zoom Admin I already disabled the watermarks for the whole account.
Linux, v6.6.0, SSO

Same issue. Everything fully disabled within account settings but still shows when using the client. Doesn't show when using web-browser.
Arch Linux.
v 6.6.0-1

Same for me, started after the last update.

Can confirm, a watermark recently appeared during the calls. Moreover I can't remove it via website settings as proposed via this support article, because the "Add watermark" is missing from my options completely:

Same here! Seeing my email as a water mark all over the screen (even over the videos of the people on the zoom). This is on a reoccurring zoom meeting that I jump in daily, and I'm seeing it as a co-host!. Yesterday, it wasn't there. This morning, I pushed through a zoom update and now I'm seeing it. Tried looking through the settings (that can be accessed by a co-host) and I don't see anything that can turn it off. It's distracting. I know the host and he didn't turn it on. No one else is seeing the water marks (those who are also co-hosts and those who are regular participants). I'm logged into the Zoom app on my computer and so are most of the others on the meeting. Definitely due to the last update. Zoom, please fix this!! Thank you 🙂

Same here! It's disturbing and annoying. Any idea to remove it is welcome. Thank you in advance!

Thank you for putting attention toward this. In addition to what's described above, my zoom client (latest release, latest ubuntu, wayland) also puts silly eyebrows on my guests' faces in business meetings, poorly, which neither they nor I appreciate.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to let you know that the fix will be included in the next release. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

Hey!
While the new version 6.6.5 (5215) for Ubuntu Linux removes the watermark (the username/e-mail), the overlay that came with it and that darkens the shared content is still there.
So when another person is sharing their screen, I see it through an overlay. Similar effect to when monitor brightness is turned down or looking through sunglasses. But only for the shared content.
This was also the case with 6.6.0, but it had the watermark on top it. Now it is only the overlay.
From my perspective, only half the problem was solved with 6.6.5.

Hi @4p98tahrsd,
Thanks for following up and sharing these details! Version 6.6.5 should have resolved the watermark issue that appeared in earlier Linux releases. Our internal team hasn’t been able to reproduce the dark overlay you described, so we’d like to take a closer look at your specific setup.
Could you please submit a support ticket and include the following:
